Alberto holds a Master of Intellectual Property and Innovation from the Brazilian Patent and Trademark Office’s Academy, a postgraduate degree in Entertainment Law from Rio de Janeiro State University (UERJ) and a degree in Law from Rio de Janeiro Federal University (UFRJ).
With over 15 years’ experience in intellectual property, he works with contracts in segments ranging from entertainment to national security. His work actively includes drafting and negotiating contracts involving the transfer of unpatented technology, licensing and assignment of trademarks, patents, copyright and neighbouring rights, software development and licensing, authorizations for use of image, exploitation of plant varieties, franchising, and commercial agreements of many natures.
Alberto is the author of books and articles involving various aspects of intellectual property and has been ranked by the Best Lawyers guide since 2021.
He is fluent in English, Spanish and French.
