With a degree in Pharmacy and Industrial Chemistry (incomplete) and duly registered as an Industrial Property Agent in Brazil, he has been working for more than 20 years in the area of Intellectual Property Law, with an emphasis on Patents, in the areas of chemistry, metallurgy and materials, agrochemistry, biotechnology, pharmacy and other related fields.
He is a partner of the firm, and also provides technical and legal advice on Plant Variety Protection, and carries out activities in the technical assistance of lawsuits and due diligences in the area of Patents.
He participates in important associations and chambers such as for instance AIPPI, CCIJB, ABPI, ABAPI CFF and CRF-RJ.
In recognition of his work, he was appointed as one of the world’s top 300 IP strategists in the 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2023 and 2024 editions of IAM Strategy 300 - The World's Leading IP Strategists. Pedro has also been nominated in the 2021, 2022, 2024 and 2025 editions of the guide IAM Strategy 300 Global Leaders Guide.
