Marcelo has worked in the field of intellectual property for 25 years. He holds a post-doctorate, doctorate and master's degree in procedural law from the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ). He is a professor of civil procedure at the Rio de Janeiro State School of Magistrates (EMERJ) and coordinator of civil procedure at ABPI. He is Director of Mediation at the Brazilian Center for Mediation and Arbitration (CBMA).
He is a member of the Brazilian Institute of Procedural Law (IBDP), the Brazilian Association of Procedural Law (ABDPro) and the Carioca Institute of Civil Procedure (ICPC).
He is a Judicial Expert and specialist in the ABPI Domain Name Dispute Resolution Chamber (CSD-ABPI).
He is a member of associations such as AASP, ABAPI and ABPI.
