Filipe Sombra Chapuis Jacoud is a lawyer who graduated from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), specialising in intellectual property litigation — particularly in disputes involving patents and utility models. He has significant experience in disputes relating to pharmaceutical patents and medicines. Throughout his career, he has also gained experience in trade marks, copyright and unfair competition, software, anti-piracy and brand protection, working on investigations and combating piracy in both physical and digital formats. He specialises in intellectual property, with further training from the INPI/WIPO and ABAPI.
