A chemical engineer, having graduated from Fluminense Federal University (UFF) and participation in the Economic Engineering course at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ).
Carlos studied Industrial Property at Franklin Pierce Law School, USA. He has worked in Industrial Property since the 1980s and been a partner at Dannemann Siemsen since 1995.
Recognised for his work in patent prosecution, including support for technical matters in Court Actions for patents, he serves national and international clients from the pharmaceutical industry, agrochemical, chemical in general, biotechnology, food and hygiene sectors, among others.
He is currently member of the Executive Committee at the firm and Manager of the patent filing sector and takes part in important associations such as ABAPI, ABPI and AIPPI.
